Japan

Japan. Picture this: I’m 17, studying for some random exam, when my mom walks into my room and casually asks, “Want to fly to Japan tomorrow?” Mind you, I was still in school and had a part-time job, but three days later, I was on a plane to Japan!

While my mom was tied up in meetings, I had the chance to explore Tokyo all by myself, and let me tell you, it was AMAZING! With barely any time to plan and signs I couldn’t read, navigating the city felt like an adventure in itself. But I made it work, and ended up seeing more than I ever expected.

After Tokyo, we traveled to Osaka, Nara, Kyoto, and Hiroshima—each place was so special in its own way. But here’s the thing: you really need to bring your A-game to Japan. English isn’t widely spoken, and even basic tasks (like buying a train ticket) can feel like a mission. That said, it’s 100% worth the effort! Kyoto’s bamboo forest is like something straight out of a movie, the beauty of the city is unbeatable, and Hiroshima—while heartbreaking—is a must-visit. And don’t even get me started on the food in Osaka! Hands down, the best I’ve ever had in my life.

So, if you’re thinking about visiting Japan, do it! But unless you want a real challenge trying to navigate everything in Japanese, save yourself the hassle and reach out to me for tips and guidance. I’m here to help make your trip as smooth as possible!
