Germany

History, Road Trips, and Hidden Treasures
I’ll be honest—Germany isn’t one of my favorite countries. But that doesn’t mean it’s without its treasures! I think my indifference comes from simply not having visited enough places there. For instance, I once went to Berlin with my 14-year-old cousin when I was just 16. Convincing her mom to let us go was a bit of a challenge (and a little concerning), but hey, we survived! It was her first big trip and first time on a plane, so I meticulously planned every detail. While Berlin didn’t quite capture my heart, my cousin had a blast. And that just shows—travel is deeply personal; not every place is for everyone.
Berlin, with its complex history from just the last century, offers so much to explore. The layers of history leave countless hidden gems throughout the city. But my experience in Germany didn’t end there—I also went on a road trip with my family to visit friends, and we had a fantastic time!
